Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Golf Team.

Yesterday they placed 2nd at the Big Bend Championship. They lost only to Chiles whom is ranked #1 in the country.

Scoring for FH was led by Justus Jones who shot a 76. Drew Jones was close behind with a 78. Then Luke Urban shot an 83 and Payton Cowhey rounded out the top 4 by shooting an 84.

So far this year, the team has never finished worse than 2nd place. They have four 1st place finishes and two 2nd place finishes. If this trend continues and they keep grinding and pounding the stone, they have an excellent chance of accomplishing their goals of:

Winning Districts on October 2nd
Placing in the top two of Regionals on October 19
Advancing to the State Championship on November 2nd

Next week the team has four matches. On Monday, The Varsity team travels to Summerbrooke to play Chiles. Tuesday they host a large match at Southwood and on Wednesday they travel to Capital City to play Leon. The JV teams travels to Golden Eagle on Wednesday to take on Maclay.

Good luck.
